GSW vs MIN Dream11: The NBA produces top-notch athletes who play at a high-level game in and game out. Each team plays 82 games and well in a league where the action is so up-and-down the floor and there are many scenarios, where teams 5 games in 7-8 nights, you shouldn’t be surprised that many major players and role players also get injured. And well, with the injuries mounting, teams have to adjust their schemes.
In this game, the Golden State Warriors will host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Warriors were having a tough period before they won three in a row and they have adjusted to the absence of Draymond Green, now, playing high-quality defense on a regular basis.
On the other hand, the Timberwolves have done well compared to last season and have laid a solid foundation. Minnesota has won around half of their games and they have done a great job at the offensive end. The Timberwolves are making a strong push towards the Play-In Tournament.
Host: Golden State Warriors Visitors: Minnesota Timberwolves Match Timing: 28 January, @ 08:30 AM Venue: Chase Center
Match-ups D’Angelo Russell and Stephen Curry will fight it out at the one-guard spot and both are sharpshooters. Steph hasn’t done well in terms of shooting the ball these days but still is more than serviceable as a playmaker and a perimeter defender. I think this can be an evenly matched-up contest. On the other hand, off-guard Klay Thompson and Patrick Beverley match-up is interesting, Klay as the perimeter shooter and Beverley as the defensive guard, who can have an all-around impact too.
On the other hand, at wing, Anthony Edwards has scored more than Andrew Wiggins and recently, he has been pouring points at a high clip. Andrew can see an uptick in scoring soon but yes, defensively, he has done a great job ever since becoming a Warriors player. The big-Forward/Center match-up is certainly where the Timberwolves can make hay. Otto Porter Jr. and Kevon Looney will take on Jarred Vanderbilt and Karl Anthony-Towns, and here, I think Karl provides a lot of scoring edge and combining with Vanderbilt, also forms a strong rebounding edge.
Off the bench, the Warriors provide more options with Payton II and Poole squaring off against Nowell and Beasley at the guard positions, a match-up that is also evenly matched-up but Poole has recovered his form. On the other hand, Kuminga, Bjelica, and Lee perhaps can eke out the edge over Reid and McDaniels. Overall, the Warriors may have a slight edge here.
