GSW vs WAS Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Washington Wizards will be aiming to become just the 2nd team to beat Golden State Warriors in 2019 when they host the Dubs in an NBA match at Capital One Arena, in Washington D.C. on Friday morning (IST).

With a 20-26 record on the season, the Wizards are sitting at 10th in the Eastern Conference heading into their next battle against Golden State Warriors. But the big and the bad piece of news is that they must see out the regular season campaign without their talismanic John Wall who has had surgery on his left knee and will take months to recover.

After starting December with three wins in the first four games, Wizards won just three times in the next 12 games. This was the period which left the team wit too much ground to make on the teams sitting above them.

But Washington have managed to turn the corners in the last 10 games or so, winning seven times in that period, including the last two. The win saw them closing down the gap on the playoff positions to just two games.

Trevor Ariza showed had one of this best games for his new team as the 33-year-old veteran scored a team-high 20 points and joint-best 12 rebounds as Wizards beat Detroit Pistons 101-87 at Capital One Arena.

The Dubs are one a roll and they pretty much look like unbeatable at the moment. Not only they are winning games, but doing so with panache and are killing games long before fans and opponents would like so.

Their latest victim were Cleveland Cavaliers, the same team which fought with Steve Kerr’s team in the last four NBA Championships. But LeBron James era is long gone and went with him the team’s fear factor.

Regular Season Record-
Washington Wizards:
W-20, L-26
Golden State Warriors:
W-33, L-14

Players to watch out for:

Washington Wizards:
Bradley Beal –
He is Washington Wizards’ biggest magician, a player with so much potential that he can even outperform the likes of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant on his day.
The 25-year-old is in deadly form as well after dropping points at 28.0 per game in the last 10 matches. The 6’5’’ shooting guard has enough tricks in his repertoire to stun the mighty Warriors in this match. But he would require support though.
Trevor Ariza – The mid-season recruit is proving to be a shrewd signing for Washington Wizards. The 33-year-old has given the team new dimensions in the offensive department and it shows in his stats as well. The former Phoenix Suns star is averaging 14.7 points per game and is also racking up most rebounds for his team this season, 6.3 per game.

Golden State Warriors:
Stephen Curry –
In the last game against Cleveland Cavaliers, he didn’t have to unlock his full potential as the opponents were quite benign, struggling for consistency all season. The two-time NBA MVP was given even relatively less time on the court as well. The 30-year-old could manage just 11 points against the Cavs, his lowest of the season. Warriors’ superstar is averaging 29.3 points per game this season.
Kevin Durant – Got into the 20s against the Cavs, 20 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds to be precise. But he could have done better or perhaps he didn’t need to. The former Oklahoma City Thunder superstar is a two-time NBA finals MVP which he won in the last two NBA championships.
The 30-year-old is second on Warriors’ stats list this season, averaging 28.0 points per game.

GSW vs WAS Dream11 Fantasy Team:

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:

The big question is who can stop the Warriors at the moment. The Dubs are on an eight-game winning streak with most of the matches ending in a routine win for them.
But Wizards are in a good momentum as well and they can shock Steve Kerr and his men. The result of the match could depend on how much freedom Bradley Beal is granted by Warriors’ defensive unit.
Still, as a collective unit, the Dubs are too powerful and we back them to make it nine games on the trot.
