HOU vs PHI Dream11: With COVID-19, again and again, badgering the world, the NBA has adopted a more flexible model to cope up with its continuous barrage. And that is why, we have seen teams sign a long list of players on ten-day deals, and thanks to these readily available high-standard athletes, the league has kept going on. Some of these players have also shown that they belong to the big stage and are eligible as anyone for a full-time contract too. Anyway, let us hop into this game now, where the Houston Rockets host the Philadelphia 76ers.
Rockets have 11 wins and 30 losses, and they have had a tough season which is not a surprise since the team has weakened since the departure of James Harden and is in full rebuild mode. Houston has been one of the worst defensive teams all season long and some of their players have receded in terms of production.
On the other hand, the 76ers have a major weapon in Joel Embiid who has enabled them to nab 22 wins and 16 losses record. Philadelphia has played some impressive basketball lately, winning six games in a row. Philadelphia looks solid on both ends of the floor and despite missing a major playmaker, the team has generated some quality offense lately, largely on the back of Joel

Rockets: Broken season, some hope, some dismay… One of the concerns for a team that loses too much becomes the morale of players and when a particular player who is highly talented loses too much for many years, it eventually affects the production. Such can be said for a player like Kevin Porter Jr. The highly talented guard’s scoring has dipped and he is not as effective as last season. On the other hand, Christian Wood, despite putting more than respectable 15+ points and 7+ rebounds hasn’t shown the same motivation as he did earlier in the season. Yes, rookie Jalen Green has been impressive with his high-quality perimeter shooting but he is still a work-in-progress and not someone who has made the team win many games. I don’t believe any set of players want to lose on purpose(The so-called tank mode), the management can deliberately field lineups that don’t fare well but for a player, losing too much can have poor long-term effects. This is why I fear some of the players like Wood, Kevin Porter Jr., Tate, Kenyon Martin Jr., Christopher, etc. can lose a lot of morale with these constant blowout types of losses.
76ers: They are on fire right now Philly has made a couple of changes in their playing styles. First, Joel Embiid is bringing the ball more and more up the floor while Seth Curry has become a major ball handler and has made some important contributions in terms of making assists. These two changes have improved the offense considerably compared to from November to mid-December. Of course, having Embiid who can score in more ways you can count, grab rebounds, change shots on defense, and be a vocal leader, helps but the team needed the boost out of someone other than him. Tobias continues to be a reliable wing option and despite a weak bench, Philly’s core has made sure that the team is effective on both sides of the floor. I am not sure if Philly has as many weapons as a team like Bucks, Heat, Nets, Bulls, etc. but trust me, with their experience, they can surprise many opponents. Christian Wood(HOU) Points: 22 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 03 Blocks: 02 Wood is having another terrific season in the Center spot but the lack of wins has hurt his morale a bit. Still, you can expect the big to score 16-22 points and grab 7-11 rebounds on a regular basis. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 36-45
Joel Embiid(PHI) Points: 31 Rebounds: 12 Assists: 07 Blocks: 01 Joel has had the best stretch of the season recently and he has pushed the ball up and handled it more compared to the prior seasons, trying to fill the void of a regular playmaker. The big has compiled 31-36 points, 11-15 rebounds, 4-7 assists, 1-2 blocks/ steals in most of the games since late December. Embiid is the favorite for the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 50-63
Kevin Porter Jr.(HOU) Points: 09 Rebounds: 06 Assists: 08 Steals: 01 Kevin has shot below 40% in most games and compared to last season, his scoring average is way down. The guard has been a decent playmaker though, handing over 4+ assists constantly this season. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-37
Tobias Harris(PHI) Points: 23 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 05 Tobias has been an exceptional wing player for the 76ers and does his job well game in and game out in many spheres. Harris has been scoring in 17-23 points, grabbing 5-10 rebounds, and dishing 3-5 assists a game regularly this season. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 34-44
Jae’Sean Tate(HOU) Points: 10 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 04 Steals: 01 Tate is perhaps the only reliable perimeter defender for the Rockets and his production has been steady all season long. Tate has scored in the 13-15 points range while grabbing 5+ rebounds a game these days. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30
Seth Curry(PHI) Points: 23 Rebounds: 07 Assists: 07 Seth has been no less impressive than Embiid or Harris recently, he has upped his game and has become a major playmaker for this 76ers team. Curry has scored 14+ points, grabbed 3-7 rebounds, and has dished 5+ assists a game regularly these days. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 38-48
