LAC vs DEN Dream11: COVID-19 and injuries have combined to make this season another tough one and yet, teams have preserved through this tension-filled process. In this game, the Los Angeles Clippers will host the Denver Nuggets. Clippers will be without Paul George and have already played without Kawhi Leonard all season meanwhile the Nuggets are themselves short-handed by Nikola Jokic is keeping them flowing.
How can the Clippers cope with the loss of George now with Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris in COVID-19 related protocols? They at least need one between Jackson and Morris because apart from George, they have been the top scorers. Now, Bledsoe, Kennard, Mann, Zubac, Ibaka, Brandon Boston, Batum, and the deep reserves have their work cut out.
The Denver Nuggets are not the premium team they were with Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray but still, Nikola Jokic keeps them relevant. Aaron Gordon, Monte Morris, Will Barton, Jeff Green, Facundo Campazzo, Bones Hyland, and JaMychal Green have made some substantial contributions but the Nuggets are running thin right now.
Host: Los Angeles Clippers Visitors: Denver Nuggets Match Timing: 27 December, @ 08:30 AM Venue: Staples Center
Clippers: They need a break With Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris, and Paul George away, the team loses around 55-70 points on a nightly basis which means that they can run out of scoring options. Terance Mann and Luke Kennard can certainly up the ante while Bledsoe will have ball-handling duties. Zubac, Batum, and Ibaka need to now step up the scoring and defense at the frontline and up their points average by 3-4 points at least. Apart from that, rookie Brandon Boston Jr. needs to play a more controlled brand of basketball because the Clippers can’t accommodate such kind of play right now.
Nuggets: They have defensive issues Michael Porter Jr’s loss has been huge and now we see how much he mattered on the defensive side. The Forward’s absence has created fractures in the defensive side for the Nuggets who have now given up 110 or more points in most games with him gone. Remember Jamal Murray, the team’s high-scoring guard hasn’t played in months which has also created disturbances to the team balance. Now, Monte Morris and Aaron Gordon have done well scoring-wise but Will Barton’s production is significantly down this month. How will the Nuggets keep up in the dynamic scenario of the NBA with the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic alone? He has carried the team on his back way too much, Nikola needs a lot of help. Denver Nuggets Team News
Nuggets Expected Starting Five Forwards: PF: Aaron Gordon(PROBABLE) SF: Jeff Green Middle: C: Nikola Jokic Guards: SG: Will Barton PG: Monte Morris
BENCH: Zeke Nnaji, Petr Cornelie, Bones Hyland, Davon Reed, Matt Ryan, Facundo Campazzo, JaMychal Green.
Eric Bledsoe(LAC) Points: 19 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 07 With Paul George out of the fray, the pressure to perform well increases on the veteran guard. He needs to score 15+ points and act as a playmaker now as the Clippers are running thin. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 27-37
Nikola Jokic(DEN) Points: 29 Rebounds: 21 Assists: 05 Steals: 01 Nikola has been on fire once again and the stellar Center has proved that he won an MVP for a reason. The high-producing big has compiled 20-30 points, 10-15 rebounds, and 5-8 assists along with 1-3 steals/blocks a game. Nikola had a 20-20 points-rebounds game against the Hornets. If he plays then for me at least, he is the favorite for the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 51-70
Terance Mann(LAC) Points: 13 Rebounds: 01 Assists: 02 Mann has done a great job of picking his scoring recently and he is an important player right now as he has adjusted from a bench to starting five role. The Shooting Guard has figured in the 11-18 points, 5-9 rebounds a game consistently. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-32
Aaron Gordon(DEN) has upped his scoring range from 7-14 points early in the season to 15-21 points now. He is PROBABLE for this game. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-40
Will Barton(DEN) Points: 11 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 04 Steals: 01 Will has seen his scoring range go down from 16-22 to 10-15 points and that can be a concern down the line. Still, the guard can compile 10+ points, 6+ rebounds, and 3+ assists regularly. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-39
Luke Kennard(LAC) who missed the last game has scored 5, 27, 10, 16, 23 points in the last five games. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 9-35
Ivica Zubac(LAC) Points: 10 Rebounds: 06 Assists: 02 Blocks: 01 Zubac has been a stable option at the Center position but he is not an assertive scorer and is a quintessential role player. The Center can score 6-12 points and clasp 6-10 rebounds a game consistently. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 19-27
Monte Morris(DEN) Points: 03 Rebounds: 02 Assists: 03 Steals: 01 Monte didn’t leave much impression during the game versus Hornets going for 1 out of 7 from the field. The guard has scored in the 13-22 points range during most of the season. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30
