Reggie Jackson Ivica Zubac LAC vs NYK Dream11

LAC vs NYK Dream11: Here we are again, discussing the NBA as the world has been in a turbulent state for years, first COVID, now the Russian invasion, the list only keeps on increasing. Yet, the NBA players, coaches, fans, writers, and readers have no time to contemplate all those matters with the long list of games every day and the motion of the league has kept on. And as long as the ball hits the floor, for now, I will be here, at your service, relating the information. Now, I see myself more as someone who only covers the fantasy aspect of the game, I want to dive into multiple details regarding the teams, players, and the overall complexion of the game. This brings me into the game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks.

The Clippers have done a great job in terms of staying afloat despite a number of injuries this season. The veteran unit led by coach Ty Lue has shown that you can win in this league without superstars or even star players. The scoring balance of this team and the highly improved defense has taken them to the top-eight ranking and in running for the top-six race, but yes, that is a long distance away as of now.

Talking about the top-six race, the Knicks are not even in the Eastern Conference top-ten race. Their season is in tatters. They have lost seven games in a row and they keep on sliding with each week. This has been a tough season for the Knicks fans and watching them gets horrid at times considering how they build leads only to end up losing in the end. Perhaps, big changes are coming during the offseason.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Clippers: My favorite team right now
No, I am not a Clippers fan, I am not even a fan of any team in the NBA. As a writer, analyst, and as someone who covers all the 30 teams that play 82 games each during the season, you do develop some sort of relationship with these teams, no matter if they are in the top ranking or the bottom spots. I know for many, it is about a deep postseason run while the championship is the way to gauge the success of a team, I will give the Clippers, the team of the season award. Sounds strange, right? Imagine first losing your ace player(Kawhi Leonard) then your second-best player(Paul George), then your newly acquired primary offensive option(Norman Powell). Then you are at a point, where you are three games above the 50% win mark.

I mean look at the Lakers, a team just below, a superstar-laden team, below the 50% win mark! The Clippers have a highly balanced unit. Reggie Jackson has been running the show with the ball and after an inefficient December and so-so January, he is playing at a high level both as a scorer and playmaker. Ivica Zubac has done a great job in the middle and has played his best basketball this season in terms of scoring and rebounding. Meanwhile, Marcus Morris has done a great job as the perimeter shooter while off-guard Terance Mann has done a great job as a two-way threat. On the other hand, the bench has been elevated too with the inclusion of Robert Covington who was a great pick-up during the trade for Powell. Kennard, Hartenstein, and Coffey are terrific bench players.

Knicks: A highly frustrating season for Julius and co.
If there was a “Who can Slide Further” award, the Knicks are surely in contention with the Lakers. Another team that came into this season with huge expectations and not only they have fallen short of the expectations, but the team’s relationship with the fanbase has also totally blown up. How strange is it that Julius Randle who was a fan favorite after he put together a brilliant campaign last season has exchanged back-and-forth with fans all season long? This is not a great sign for Julius Randle’s future with the Knicks and I am sure there are a bunch of teams that can utilize his services. This is a concern for the Knicks management who thought that the duo of Barrett and Randle are the faces of the Franchise.

Talking about the Knicks, I think the team has lacked a playmaking guard who can also hit the outside jumper consistently. A player like Schroeder could have helped them(Yes, he has had a tough season but that is because of his role I feel than the actual skillset). Barrett has been soaring as a scorer but his shot-selection still needs a lot of work. Evan Fournier has also struggled with consistency while the promising Obi Toppin has also suffered due to the lack of spacing and playmaking, not even being a regular rotation player at this point. Burks keep misfiring, Quickley is inconsistent, Reddish doesn’t get many minutes while Center Mitchell Robinson also needs a high-yielding playmaker alongside him. The Knicks are in total disarray as of now.
