LAC vs WAS Dream11: With the way things are going in the world, it seems like the NBA provides an outlet for many people to escape the horrid realities of the world. This is just the way of the world, it can be cruel and it can be beyond our grasp and that is why sports have been allies of many folks for many centuries now. This is why the NBA is so popular, it provides the constant up-and-down brand of basketball while the business model of the NBA has done a great job of producing storylines that make the season spicier. And when you have a wide fanbase, the trends are gonna tick off on social media, ain’t it! Well, the Washington Wizards will certainly like to move towards the trending territory that heads towards the Play-in tournament and the Los Angeles Clippers will have to conjure up something to keep their Play-in push going.

The Clippers have been a fighting unit throughout the season and they have been missing George, Leonard, and Powell, their three premier wings. The veteran unit has kept the fight alive and the team has done a great job of staying around the 50% win mark. The team is on a two-game losing streak, but the squad has shown the ability to snap out of the losing streak.

On the other hand, the Wizards are surely in the position to still make a push for the Play-in spot and there is no doubt that having Kristaps Porzingis will be bolstering the team’s strength. Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have been turned on to click a bunch of points and if the team does a great job of shooting from outside, the ceiling is high.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Play-in picture, roster complexions, some issues related here

Clippers’ positioning: The Clippers are in a great position right now even if they have been so short-handed. They have built a decent distance from the Lakers, Pelicans, Spurs, and Trail Blazers and sit at the eighth position. If they win around 50% of their games from here, they can surely grab the Play-in spot. The challenge is that you never know a team like Pelicans, Lakers, or Spurs will pick up the heat so it is essential for the Clippers to ensure that they have at least 50% of their games from here. There is no estimation when Paul Geroge will return but if he returns before the Playoffs, hey, you never know what they can accomplish.

Wizards’ positioning: Wizards in a wild race for the Play-in spot against the Hornets, Hawks, and even the Knicks. While it is true that they are still one spot away from sealing the Play-in place, they can surprise many teams with their improved play. They will surely need one of the things that they have been unable to accomplish for months now; a winning streak. The Hawks and Hornets look more likely to put together winning streaks but these two teams have been vulnerable these days so rediscovering rhythm will be a prerogative for the Wizards and with Porzingis, you never know!

Roster complexions: A big issue for the Clippers have been their tendency to get on cold shooting runs and it usually happens when Reggie is off and trust me, the shooting woes are contagious when Jackson is off his game. On the other hand, the Clippers are deeper than they may look at the surface but like Jackson, Mann is vital on offense and if he can improve further, the Clippers will surely be a more formidable unit. Ivica Zubac has been doing a terrific job recently but he needs Reggie to be on fire to be more effective. Marcus Morris has done a great job as the isolation scorer but he seems fatigued these days while Robert Covington’s absence has hurt the big Forward depth for sure. Isaiah Hartenstein has done a great job as the backup Center while Coffey and Kennard round off a strong bench.

The Wizards, on the other hand, can be a formidable squad. I believe a combo of Smith and Porzingis can be highly effective while Kyle Kuzma has been doing a great job as a playmaker while his scoring has been terrific. Off-guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been doing a great job as the scorer and has been an all-around presence. Corey Kispert is the “X-Factor” for me while if he Deni Advija can shore up their scoring, the Wizards can surely pull off a winning streak. Rui Hachimura can be a serviceable player too but I believe if the team extracts quality offense from Kispert and Deni, it will be huge.
