Joel Embiid dunking PHI vs BKN Dream11

PHI vs BKN Dream11: Hello NBA fans! Two games in the slate and what a great platter of games we are being dealt with. But before we jump into the game, how about some context? We have covered almost 80% of the season and this implies that Postseason is already whispering in the ears of the fans. And that is why for me, the time just before the Playoffs is as exciting as the Postseason because many teams are sure to make a wild dash and we can also see upsets adding up from here. Anyway, let us talk about the first of the doubleheader game here is in Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets.

The 76ers have been doing a great job since they have acquired James Harden, the team’s offense has been clicking at a high clip. Harden has been doing a wonderful job both as a scorer and playmaker while also pushing the pace. So the duo of Embiid and Harden looks at home as of now but will they be able to make the Finals?

On the other hand, the times are more desperate for the Brooklyn Nets. They lost their way completely when Kevin Durant went out but now that he has returned, the team can hope to make a solid push towards the seventh spot but making the top six rankings look increasingly difficult with each day.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Sixers: They are looking scary
The 76ers have been showcasing some great offensive production these days and they have cracked the code to perform at a high keel with Harden in the mix. Harden didn’t work out alongside Durant and Irving because both of those players need a ton of time dribbling the ball. Contrastingly, for the Sixers, Embiid at the Center can do a great alongside Harden because he can work off the ball and generate looks for high-quality offense. Tobias Harris can also play off the ball but it is praiseworthy how Tyrese Maxey has also adjusted to the change in the offensive schemes. The current offensive unit has versatile options.

The defense is also strong with pesky perimeter defender Thybulle, inside disruptor Joel Embiid ancd the disciplined team defense. The 76ers have a big issue though; their bench. We know the NBA is full of injuries and you never know when your ace is injured, yes, it is true, the situation where a team struggles without ace isn’t unique, but rather a norm, however, the Sixers have a severe lack of depth which can hurt them as the Playoffs begin. This is because guards Shake Milton and Furkan Korkmaz have not had a great season and have lost the grip on the offensive end. Will this severre lack of bench hurt them in the long run?

Nets: Lagging behind
The big three of the Nets didn’t play many games together but it seems like this exact issue may have put off Harden. Kyrie hasn’t got the vaccination and with the mandate in effect, he has missed a lot of games. Durant missed a couple of months due to injury and this is when the Nets train got derailed. From being the top team in the league, the squad slipped to the eighth spot and this massive losing window has set them behind squads like Heat,Sixers, Bulls, Bucks, Cavaliers, Celtics. They surely have a lot of catching up to do and there is still a chance to unseat the Raptors at the seventh spot as of now but Play-in tournament participation is looking inevitable and the distance with the Raptors is still huge.

Still, with Durant back, suppose the team reaches the Play-in tournament. Surely, you wouldn’t wanna face the duo of Durant and Irving in the Play-in. Why? Well, in this tournament a few wins can set you to the first round and suppose the team reaches the first round. Can’t the Nets still be a handful for someone like the 76ers, Bulls, Celtics, or Heat? This is why you still can’t sleep on the Nets, hey, when you have Durant, who is still one of the best players in the league paired up alongside one of the best scorers to play the game in Irving, you gotta watch out! How about if the team can get more out of Curry and Mills. Do remember Ben Simmons can also make his team debut in few weeks then the chances to upset the first round candidates can be realised in a better capacity.
