MEM vs MIN Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Minnesota Timberwolves will look to snap a two-game losing streak when they host Memphis Grizzlies in an NBA match at Target Center, in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Thursday morning (IST).

Minnesota Timberwolves:
Just forty-eight hours after losing to Utah Jazz 102-106 in Utah, Minnesota Timberwolves were back in Minneapolis against the same team, looking for payback time.

The city changed but not the fortunes as Wolves lost again, this time in a blowout 111-125 in front of their own fans.

The hosts had the chances to punish the visitors, especially in the first half of the match when Utah really struggled on the floor, shooting 39.6 percent in the first two quarters. And despite that, Minnesota were trailing 50-53 going into the break.

Then Jazz just erupted and came out improved in all departments. In the second half, they shot at 71.1 percent which proved to be a telling difference in the game. This was Wolves’ 2nd consecutive loss and fifth in the last 10 games.

There were some good performances though. Andrew Wiggins enjoyed a stellar night and dropped a game-high 35 points. Karl-Anthony Towns was Wolves’ second-highest scorer with his 22 points performance on the night.

Minnesota will have the chance to put their season back on track as they will be at home in their next two games against the teams struggling for their own form.

Memphis Grizzlies:
Memphis Grizzlies headed into their last match looking to win two games in a row for the first time in many many months. But doing this against Denver Nuggets was a pretty tough job considering they are not only one of the best in Western Conference but in the entire NBA at the moment. Still, Grizzlies had their own reasons to believe as coming into a match on the back of a win is like no other thrust.

The match started magnificently for the hosts as they surged to a 13-2 lead, which had two three-pointers from Mike Conley. Marc Gasol extended the lead to 16-2 with his own attempt from beyond the arc.

The Spanish superstar was the real force for his team in the first quarter, scoring 14 of his 28 points in that period and Grizzlies won the quarter 30-16.

Grizzlies upped the ante even further in the second quarter, the bench came good and the hosts extended their lead to a massive 18 points midway in the 2nd quarter.

At one point in the 3rd quarter, Grizzlies had a massive 25 advantage and the crowd was going berserk. Everything was looking good and the two consecutive wins were definitely within touching distance.

But Memphis just couldn’t keep up the pace and blew up the lead in some incredible collapse. If they can’t win from the position they were in, God knows what would take them to win against big teams.

For the season, Grizzlies are 20-31 and are 2nd from the bottom in the Western Conference.

Regular Season Record-
Minnesota Timberwolves: W-24, L-26
Memphis Grizzlies: W-20, L-31

Players to watch out for:

Minnesota Timberwolves:
Karl-Anthony Towns – The biggest threat that Wolves have in their ranks is Karl-Anthony Towns. The young superstar is arguably the biggest draw in Minnesota these days after Jimmy Butler left the franchise. He is also racking up a good amount of points this season, dropping at 22.8 per game. The 23-year-old Center is also grabbing 12.2 rebounds per game as well, the highest for his team.
Andrew Wiggins – He literally erupted in the last match. The 23-year-old scored an incredible 35 points against Utah Jazz, taking his regular season average to 18.1 points per game. No woner he is being seen as one of the brightest young talents in NBA.

Memphis Grizzlies:
Mike Conley – Grizzlies may be enduring at the foot of the table in the West, the 31-year-old is doing what he can do to help the team to get out of the current rut. And that is to score the points. The Indianapolis born star is averaging 20.0 points per game this season. He is Grizzlies’ best bet on any given day.
Marc Gasol – His future is still a mystery but he isn’t letting anything to flirt with his performance on the court. In the last game against Denver Nuggets, he scored 21 points in the first half alone.
For the season, the 33-year-old Spain’s legend is dropping 15.4 points per game. He is also racking up 8.7 rebounds per game for Grizzlies this season.
