POR vs UTA DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Two in-form teams will collide in this NBA match as Portland Trail Blazers welcome Utah Jazz to the Moda Center for a regular season match, in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday morning (IST).

Portland Trail Blazers:

With Damian Lillard sitting on the bench, looking very dapper in a sports coat, and their shoehorned playmaker leaving the court after just 12 minutes with an Achilles injury, everything could have gone bad for Portland Blazers on this night.

However, no Lillard, no problem. At least in this match.

For the sole reason that Blazers are one of the best-combined units in NBA at the moment. They may boast an All-Star point-guard in their ranks, (or didn’t have in this match), the distribution from every player is the reason for their incredible climb up the Western Conference table this year.

A shorthanded Portland won the game 120-111 at Moda Center, with the highlight of their win was the 26 assists racked up by the team. It was the 12th time in the last 15 games that Blazers’ players stocked 25 assists or more in an NBA match. No wonder, they have won 10 times in those 12 matches.

C. J. McCollum was an undisputed star of the match. The 27-year-old grabbed a triple-double in the match, scoring a team-high 28 points, 10 assists and rebounds respectively.

Also, all the five players in the starting line-up touched the double-digits in points charts. Seth Curry had the team’s second highest efforts and scored 22 points.

With the win, Portland improved their regular season record to 31-20, and remain at 4th and two games away from 5th placed Houston Rockets.

Utah Jazz:

For the second time in two days, Utah Jazz had to face Minnesota Timberwolves. The doubleheader was fought home and away and it was Utah who ended up winning the tie 2-0.

Donovan Mitchell led the team with his 29 points, Derrick Favors (11 points, 11 rebounds), while Rudy Gobert (17 pts), Rickey Rubio (18 pts, 8 assists) and Joe Ingles (15 pts) all scored in the double digits as Jazz won their 11th game in the last 13 matches.

Jazz had almost a perfect game throughout the night despite shooting way below than their usual high standards in the first half. However, that didn’t last long as Jazz improved their shooting accuracy to 71 percent in the second half.

The visitors never really felt pressure in the game after leading for more than 90% in the match, and also never trailed the match by more than one point in the game.

This was Jazz’s 9th win in the last 10 games, and now they are 29-22 for the season and sit at 7th in the Western Conference.

Regular Season Record-
Portland Trail Blazers: W-31, L-20
Utah Jazz: W-29, L-22

Players to watch out for:
Portland Trail Blazers:

Damian Lillard – He is the player who is racking up NBA calibre numbers this season. Portland Trail Blazers’ biggest and the best hope in any given day is dropping 26.2 points per game on a team-high 23.7 efficiency rate. His overall contribution is commendable as well and is leading the assists chart for his team this season. The 28-year-old point guard was rested in the last game and should be back for this match.
C. J. McCollum – With Damian Lillard out in the last game, C. J. McCollum took the opportunity to lead his lead, and he did do quite a fascinating job. The 27-year-old ended up with a triple-double, scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the match. His season average is 20.8 points per game.

Utah Jazz:
Donovan Mitchell – Had a monster of a game as he scored 29 points in the last game. If you are looking for reasons for Utah Jazz’ good form, look nowhere that Mithcell’s numbers in the last 10 matches. The 22-year-old young prodigy has averaged an impressive 30.4 points per game in the last 10 matches. While his season average is 22.5 points per game.
Rudy Gobert – Another vital cog in Utah Jazz’s pacey ride in the last month or so. The 26-year-old French man is dropping a team-high 12.9 rebounds per game. While his numbers rank second in points charts, 15.0 per game, making him an all-around performer for Utah this season.
