MEM vs WAS Dream11: Hello, the lovers of the NBA, how has the midseason window been for you? As fans, fantasy lovers, writers, and readers, we are all engaged in this terrific shuffling of the lineups day in and day out. And isn’t that what makes this fun? Working out combinations is what the fun is all about! And here we are, peeking at different combinations as well discuss the game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Washington Wizards.
Grizzlies are in the contender realm this season and their growth spurt has been unprecedented as the Morant-led team has been clicking on all cylinders this season. Memphis has been playing at a high clip since December but personally, I think they will have ways to go before catching up with the Warriors or the Suns.
On the other hand, the Wizards have had an inconsistent season. They haven’t been able to build lengthy winning streaks and they keep playing sub-par defense game in and game out. As a matter of fact, the team has lost four in a row and needs a big-time spark to stay in the Play-in tournament contention.

Grizzlies: High dreams, young hearts Grizzlies have been able to maul teams after teams on a regular basis. They just keep getting better. They had an eleven-game winning streak earlier this month and after a little hiccup, they are back to their post-December habits. It is rare to see such young teams attain these heights with most players fresh into their prime. This also means that expectations are high with this team and why not! They are the only team to beat elite squads after elite squads at a constant rate. This also makes for speculation about the future, but hey, this young uns are not waiting for anyone!
For me, the play of Jaren Jackson Jr. has brought radical transformations in the Grizzlies system. His ability to block shots covers up the defensive deficiencies of the rest of the squad. His scoring has been above-average and he is a high-level two-way player. Ja Morant is of course the engine on the offense, scoring and dishing off assists on a regular basis. Desmond Bane forms a sturdy backcourt while Steven Adams is the hustle man, while Brandon Clarke has played a huge role off the bench. Jones, Melton, and Anderson have wonderful complementary players. Trust me, this young Grizzlies team is swashbuckling.
Wizards: Losing their way again and again Wizards rotations are unclear to me, the plan looks all over the place and because Bryant and Hachimura went out for long, the big rotations have been all over the place. Since these two have returned, the minutes’ distribution and lineup shuffle make it so that there are constant changes in the combinations. What can this do? Well, it can bring instability, unclarity of roles, and a logjam at multiple positions. Yes, you want to have depth but you also want versatility, no? Will the Wizards address the situation by trading some players and perhaps bringing a wing or a guard into the fray? Let us see.
Well, Beal is having a strong scoring season but he hasn’t been scoring as much as last season, but even then he drives this team game in and game out. Kuzma has been a rebounding force and a major scoring presence. Dinwiddie picked up his game but is susceptible to cold shooting nights every now and then. Harrell, Gafford, and Hachimura have now created a logjam at the big positions while the wing rotations remain unclear. What is the situation for this Wizards team? I think this is a weird case where you have depth and that depth creates a mishmash.
