Tyler Herro dunking MIA vs CHI Dream11

MIA vs CHI Dream11: NBA is a terrific league and there are various teams vying for the top spot and even the Play-in spots as of now. This is why the current window will be a lovely one to follow, many teams will pick up their playing level as the postseason will come near. So, basically, the window before Playoffs will be like Playoffs for many teams that are seeking the Play-in spots especially. However, in this game, between the Eastern Conference rivals Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls, it is a battle for the top spot!

The Heat and Bulls are first and second in the East respectively. The Heat is the only Eastern team to nab 40 wins at this point while the Bulls are looking primed for a big finish this season too. For the Heat, it is the team balance that has improved compared to last season. For Bulls, it has been the inclusion of DeRozan this season that has lifted their fortunes.

As both teams are battling for the top, this game couldn’t have come at a better time, if the Bulls win this, they will have the same record as the Heat and if Heat wins, they will build more separation from the Bulls. Can this be a preview of this season’s Eastern Finals battle? Too early to say at this stage, Embiid and Harden are looking strong, and the Giannis-led Bucks can pick it up anytime.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Heat: The top position was long due
As I have mentioned all season long, the Heat’s depth is what makes them special. I have no doubt that some of their players who are getting little to no playing time can notch 20 minutes or so for any other squad. This depth was in full flow when two of the team’s key players in Butler and Adebayo went down, a window where the team instead of falling behind, won more than 55% of their games. This is largely due to the leadership of Kyle Lowry, a strong bench, and the defensive willpower of PJ Tucker, who keeps the ante up. And then there is the contribution of bench players in Strus, Vincent, Yurtseven, and Martin.

The Heat’s defense looks incredible too and they are a team that has been built for the postseason. They have terrific individual defenders in the form of Lowry, Robinson, Tucker, Adebayo, and Butler who can pack the paint, get outside and defend, and can also be effective in switch scenarios. Butler has been doing a great job as an all-around player, Lowry has been hustling around and can also knock down jumpers. Adebayo is a muscle player in the middle, the type of athlete who can be highly effective in the Playoffs. Herro is the X-Factor and he keeps the heat on off the bench. Martin, Vincent, and Dedmon round off a brilliant unit.

Bulls: They can be even stronger
The Bulls have been doing a great job of winning games and DeRozan has been carrying the major load on the offensive end. He has been raining shot after shot from mid-range and you can see the fire in his belly to prove a point. He may end up winning the MVP award with the way he has played and he has done a great job at finishing games. Apart from DeRozan, LaVine has been in terrific form too and his duo with DeMar has been a real transformational one for the Bulls. With two isolation scorers like these and the ability to close out games, the Bulls will be a tough opponent during the Playoffs even if they finish at the third or fourth spot.

Ayu Dosunmu has been a great presence at the one-guard position and his ability to act as a playmaker has helped matters too. On the other hand, Coby White has carved out a great role as the off-the-bench guard scorer. Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic has been a brilliant presence at the Center position with his ability to get rebounds and inside scoring. JaVonte Green has been a great presence at the wing position and his ability to slash at the rim is helpful for the team. Can the Bulls make a strong push as the Playoffs near?
