MIL vs GSW Dream11: There are numerous challenges for the team managements, athletes, writers, predictors, and readers of the NBA these days. The COVID-19 threat has refused to stay away and continues to engulf the world and the NBA has been caught in its tight grasp for three seasons now. But still, the league has learned from previous experiences and has implemented flexible rules to keep the action and that is why we are here!
In this game, the Milwaukee Bucks will meet up against Golden State Warriors in a cross-conference affair. Milwaukee has lost four of the last five games and has struggled ever since Holiday has been out. Milwaukee still has a more than a respectable record of 26 wins and 17 losses but they have tough games to play now, against Warriors, Grizzlies, and Bulls, three of the best teams in the league.
On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors have looked a little fatigue this month and despite 30 wins and 10 losses, they have not played their best basketball recently. Not having Green hurts for sure but Golden State has been a little off shooting the ball, especially Stephen Curry recently. Can the Warriors recover their November-December rhythm soon?
Host: Milwaukee Bucks Visitors: Golden State Warriors Match Timing: 14 January, @ 06:00 AM Venue: Fed Ex Forum
Bucks: What is bothering them? Milwaukee has not played well recently, they have lost to Pistons(Around 20% win record), Raptors, and twice to Hornets in the last five games. Of course, with Holiday out, they lose their perimeter defensive chops and also high-quality playmaking and scoring. Donte DiVincenzo is still recovering from his long absence while Nwora and Matthews can score but they have not been as consistent and don’t give much apart from scoring. Bucks have a strong frontline of Giannis, Middleton, and Portis but the bench depth in regards to wing/big positions is next to nothing, which has been an issue all season long especially with Brook Lopez out of the picture. With a tough schedule at hand, how will the Bucks respond to the call? Milwaukee surely needs a spark and perhaps more defensive discipline during crunch time.
Warriors: Are they fatigued Curry has been highly inefficient these days and it certainly hurts Golden State because when he is missing shots, the offense isn’t as fluid. Well, with Green gone, the team has also lost their major playmaker, defender, and vocal leader, and the value of Green is no less than Steph as he is an MVP in his own right. Wiggins has been a bit off in the last two games and while I acknowledge that Klay Thompson’s return makes Warriors better, the lineup shuffles can make adjustments tricky. The Warriors have been not playing at their best on the offensive end and there have been times when they keep missing shots. With Poole’s role reduced now, how will he respond? How will the team rotate Klay, Payton II, and Poole?
The Bucks have lost four of the last five games and have lost control of the game in crunch-time. The Warriors have also lost three of their last four games and they need a spark on the offensive end more so than anything. The Warriors can have trouble stalling Giannis without Draymond but yes Wiggins, Porter Jr., Iguodala, Looney, and Bjelica can surround him, and perhaps playing Wiggins, Porter Jr., and Looney together can help in having both speed and size. However, the Warriors have more bench depth as of now than the Bucks and that is why I’d give them a 65% chance of winning this.
