MIL vs NYK DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

New York Knicks will be looking to snap their four-game losing streak when they host Milwaukee Bucks in the first match of the doubleheader at Madison Square Garden, in Manhattan, on Tuesday night (IST).

New York Knicks:

Two-time NBA Champions are in a slump these days and head into the Christmas period, aiming to put an end to their current misery which is showing no signs of stopping. At the moment, their streak in the last ten matches is the worst across both the conferences and with each loss, they are moving ever closer to the very foot of the Eastern Conference table.

The new season started in a good way though as they won the first match 126-107 against Atlanta Hawks. But it proved to be a false indicator of their season’s potential as they went on to lose five consecutive games, winning just twice in the next 10 games. And that’s the hallmark of their performance all season, too much inconsistency.

Their last win came against a very good team, a 124-126 win on the road vs Charlotte Hornets. This game told everything about what Knicks can do and are capable of doing on a Basketball court. Despite being outplayed in the first quarter by a massive 17 points, and behind by 19 points going into the second half, New York clawed their way back into the game with a strong and cohesive 2nd half performance.

And again, Knicks failed to build on that win and lost the last four, including two at home against Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks, two of the worst performing teams in NBA this season.

Milwaukee Bucks:

The Bucks are flying high in the seventh heaven this season. They remain 2nd in the Eastern Conference table despite losing the last match 87-94 against Miami Heat on the road. Also, their winning percentage of 0.688 is the 2nd best across both the conferences, behind only Toronto Raptors who are averaging 0.714 wins this season.

This will be the 3rd game between Knicks and Bucks with the series tied at 1-1 for the season. The 1971 NBA Champions defeated New York 124-113 in the first game while the 2nd game was a great spectacle for NBA. Bucks scored their highest points tally of the season and still lost 134-136 in what was one of the biggest combined points scored in an NBA game this season.

And the last game was the total opposite as for the first time Milwaukee couldn’t even go past 90 points, losing 94-87 at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Regular Season Record-
New York Knicks: W-9, L-25
Milwaukee Bucks: W-22, L-10

Players to watch out for:
New York Knicks:

Tim Hardaway Jr. – The aggressive, and the talented 6-ft-6-inch monster is New York Knicks best hope in an NBA game. The 26-year-old is also performing at more than a decent level, averaging in the 20s and remain the only Knicks’ player to do so this season. The Michigan born guard can be a match-winner in a match against any team in the NBA.

Enes Kanter – The 2011 1st round-pick is dropping 15.0 points per game this season. It’s not only the points but the 26-year-old is doing a pretty good job inside the paint as he is racking up an impressive 11.0 rebounds per game this season.

Milwaukee Bucks:
Giannis Antetokounmpo – A player on the radar of most of the giants, and a talent which, if unlocked fully, could go on to become one of the very best the NBA has ever seen. From LeBron James and Stephen Curry to Gregg Popovich, everybody has only big words for him. Still just 24, his prime is still in front of him. But he is still racking some MVP calibre numbers, 26.2 points per game this season. He is everywhere, rebounds, points and assists.
Khris Middleton – The 2nd best player in Bucks’ roster is Khris who is dropping 17.6 points per game. But the numbers can’t justify his importance to the team as his unselfish work rate can sometimes go under the radar. And that’s the cost of having teammates like Antetokounmpo in your team. As Barcelona.
