NYK vs CLE Dream11: Hello, NBA fans! How have you been? We don’t have a long time remaining in the season and the time to make a big winning run is just collapsing. This means that teams that are looking to up their rankings or get into the Play-in tournament will need to get on a winning streak as of now because there are not many games remaining in the Regular Season. So, as the postseason nears, the Cleveland Cavaliers will look to regain their rhythm versus the New York Knicks.
The Knicks are already out of the Play-in tournament contention and they have played much better since the last few days but it has been too late at this point. They have still managed to win four out of the last five games and the rest of the season is more of a practice session for the team at this point.
On the other hand, the Cleveland Cavaliers have fallen off especially since the injury to Jarrett Allen. The absence of Evan Mobley has hurt the team even more and the team has had to rely upon deep bench players to get through games. Will they be able to at least clinch the seventh position?
Host: New York Knicks
Visitors: Cleveland Cavaliers
Match Timing: 2 March, @ 10:30 PM
Venue: Madison Square Garden
The Knicks come in this game after losing to Hornets 114:125 despite Evan Fournier’s 30 points night.
The Knicks have shown some fight recently but this has been too late at this point. The team’s defense has been above-average for most parts but their offense has been a huge problem. Kemba Walker was brought in the offseason to bring veteran scoring and playmaking at the Point Guard position but that experiment has failed miserably. Evan Fournier has knocked a bunch of three-pointers but he has been rather too inconsistent.
Immanuel Quickley has shown a lot of pop as the long-range shooter and if he develops his playmaking, it will book the starting guard spot for him. Alec Burks has been too inefficient and Mitchell Robinson has been an incredible defender but his offense is not enough to address the Knicks’ woes. The future of big Forward Julius Randle has been in question and RJ Barrett may get a fresh core in the offseason around him.
The Cavaliers suffered a horrific 107:131 loss against the Hawks and their season keeps getting worse somehow
The Cavaliers have certainly lost the plot in recent times. They have only won one of the last six games and there is no doubt that this lean run has made them slip from the fifth to the seventh spot, and the drop in two spots means that they are unlikely to get a bye till the First Round of the Playoffs and may have to earn it by going through the Play-in tournament. As of now, it looks that the Cavaliers can even end up losing their seventh spot and can slip all the way to the last rank considering how well the three teams under them are playing.
The absence of Jarrett Allen has created a fat hole in the middle for the team and not only he provide elite defense and rebounding, he also set rugged screens and engulfed inside buckets. Garland has been an elite playmaker and scorer while Markkanen has gotten it done too but Kevin Love’s production has fallen big-time while Cedi Osman is up-and-down. Another concern has been Caris LeVert’s lack of consistency. The team at least needs Evan Mobley to return soon as their defense has taken a holiday at this point.
