OKC vs POR Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Portland Trail Blazers will host Oklahoma City in game-2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoff match at Moda Center, in Portland, Oregon, United States, on Wednesday morning (IST).

Portland Trail Blazers drew the first blood in the series as they beat Oklahoma City Thunder 104-99 in game-1 at Moda Center. In the process, the Blazers successfully ended a 10-game losing streak in the post-season.

There is a lot of work to do still. For the Thunder will come back harder as they possess enough talent to turn the corner in their favour. But if Blazers touched the intensity and aggression they showed in the first game, then Portland may well be moving into the next round.

It was Portland’s first win in the playoffs since May 7, 2016.

Jusuf Nurkic missed the game with a leg injury but Enes Kanter deputised like a tailored-made back-up. He dominated the interior of the floor and had a huge game. The Turkish international dropped 20 points and had an incredible 18 rebounds to his name as well.

Damian Lillard scored 30 points and C.J. McCollum dropped 24 points for Blazers.

For Oklahoma City Thunder, it was a missed opportunity. They trailed by as many as 19 points in the second quarter but managed to claw their way back into the match, coming as close as 93-92 in the fourth quarter with less than three minutes left in the regulation time.

But Lillard scored a 30-foot 3-pointer and extended Blazers’ lead to four points which they never surrendered.

Paul George led the Thunder with 26 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Russell Westbrook struck another triple-double, scoring 24 points, to go with 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Regular Season Record-
Portland Trail Blazers:
W-53, L-29
Oklahoma City Thunder:
W-48, L-34

Players to watch out for:

Portland Trail Blazers:
Damian Lillard –
He scored a game-high 30 points in game-1 and helped his team to snap an 8-game losing streak in the playoffs. How far Portland go in this series or in the post-season will depend on Lillard’s performance. For he is their best offensive player. The 28-year-old is close to 30 points per game in the last 10 matches or so, which shows that he can touch any lofty height in his career.

C.J.McCollum – In terms of scoring, he is Portland’s 2nd best player this season, averaging 21.0 points per game. He could be a good option to include in your Dream11 team considering he has averaged 19.8 points per game against Oklahoma City Thunder.

Oklahoma City Thunder:
Paul George – Listed as questionable before the game, Pual George made to the starting line-up. He is having quite a season with the Thunder, averaging a career-high 28.1 points per game. He is a candidate for both MVP and defensive player of the year award. A two-way player who is a rare breed these days.
But he is suffering from a nagging injury of late and looks short of the player he was before the All-Star break. Still, he remains one of the best players in the NBA.

Russell Westbrook – Again, he carved out his name in the NBA history books after registering yet another triple-double in game-1, scoring 24 points along with 10 assists and 10 rebounds. The 2017 MVP remains the only player to average a triple-double.
