DEN vs SAS Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Denver Nuggets will be looking to win level the series when they host San Antonio Spurs in the first round second match at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, USA, on Wednesday morning (IST).

San Antonio Spurs’ head-coach pulled out a rabbit out of the hat to construct the downfall of Denver Nuggets, in their own backyard. Spurs won the game 96-101 and the result was one of the many shockers in the game-1 of the first round series in the 2019 playoffs.

Spurs were lucky in some sense. One particular moment which went their way came in the dying minutes of the game. Nuggets were chasing 96-97 but had the ball with just 13.3 minutes left in the game. But Jamal Murray scuppered a golden chance to bury a potential game-winning jumper.

The rebound was collected by Spurs star LaMarcus Aldridge who was fouled immediately. The big man converted the resulting two free-throws to give Spurs a 99-96 lead with 6.9 seconds left in the match.

Nuggets scampered through the court to score points. But Derrick White made a successful interception and won the two free-throws. He didn’t waste and sealed a win for his team.

Five players scored in the double-digits for Spurs, led by DeMar DeRozan who ended with a double-double 18 points and 12 rebounds.

For Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had a triple-double, ending with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists. While the game’s best efforts went to Gary Harris who was the only player scoring in the 20s.

Regular Season Record-
Denver Nuggets:
W-54, L-28
San Antonio Spurs:
W-48, L-34

Players to watch out for:

Denver Nuggets:
Nikola Jokic –
Averaged a double-double in the regular season, averaging 20.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. He also recorded 7.3 assists per game as well, showing that he is an-allrounder on the Basketball court. The big Serbian remains Nuggets’ best player by some stretch.

@USA Today

Jamal Murray –
One of the best young players in the NBA is Jamal Murray. He is enjoying a personal best season. The 22-year-old scored 22 points in the last game, taking his season average to 18.2 points per game.

San Antonio Spurs:

DeMar DeRozan – Had a double-double in the first game and looked the kind of player the fans believe he can be. He finished the match with 16 points and 12 rebounds, which came on 7-of-10 shooting and a big monster dunk over Paul Millsap. Spurs will need more of him if they are to get the better of talented Denver Nuggets in the first round.

LaMarcus Aldridge – Ended the regular season with a career-high 21.3 points per game. He is heading towards the twilight of his career but there are no signs of him slowing down. For he remains as effective as he was ever in his career. In the last 10 games, the 33-year-old has averaged 22.7 points per game.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:

Denver Nuggets ended the regular season with the best home record across both the conferences. That loss was unexpected but against was Gregg Popovich’s team, the savviest of head-coach the game has ever seen.
But here we back the home team to return back to winning ways and level the series.
