How both the teams fared in the first stage?

Puerto Rico:

Puerto Rico’s only loss in the first-round game against Spain, a 63-73 defeat in Game-2.

It was neither unexpected nor a negative result considering the gulf between the two teams in Basketball terms.

The world no-16 team won the other two games against Iran and Tunisia respectively and booked a place in the 2nd round.
