SAC vs DEN Dream11: Woah, another great season! The enthusiasm is again sky-high as once again we have SO MANY squads that are the championship favorites but can they unseat either of the Suns or the Bucks in their respective conferences? The Suns have been the most successful Franchise this season and they are the barometer through which you oughta judge others, considering they are the only teams to have won more than 50 games and continue to pound pain on the oppositions, however as I type this there are so many contenders in the West that the Suns will have their work cut out during the Playoffs. And how about the Denver Nuggets, led by great Nikola Jokic, that will take on the Sacramento Kings in this game.
The Nuggets have been putting on a show courtesy of Nikola Jokic who becomes more and more intimidating as the Playoffs approach and has been one of the best players in the Postseason in recent memory. With Murray and Porter Jr. shaping up to return, a lot of squads in the West will be in for a lot of fight from the Nuggets.
On the other hand, the Kings have been flailing(Like always) and despite acquiring Domantas Sabonis, things have not changed for the squad that keep on being a sub-par squad. The combinations are still over the place and the team defense keep on collapsing even against average offensive units. The time is running out, can Fox and co. figure out a winning potion to counter the upcoming window?
Host: Sacramento Kings Visitors: Denver Nuggets Match Timing: 10 March, @ 08:30 AM Venue: Golden 1 Center
Roster complexions and match-ups The Nuggets’ effort is undoubtedly defined by the presence of Nikola Jokic who makes everyone around him play with their tails up. They have won more than 50% of their games since the beginning of the year. The Kings will be in for a painful outing here with Sabonis out because usually, there are few Centers who can match up to the Center, and with Sabonis suspended for the game, the Center position has been significantly compromised for the Kings.
The Kings do have an advantage at the one-guard spot with De’Aaron Fox matching up to Monte Morris. While Fox is a better scorer, Morris can supply a decent dose of perimeter shooting and keep the three-point effort going for the Nuggets. This is a crucial match-up but with Nuggets having Jokic, they can counter Fox on both ends of the floor by sealing the paint points, grabbing rebounds, and spreading the floor.
Harrison Barnes at wing will be up against Gordon and if Barton doesn’t play then Jeff Green’s role will be big here. Barnes is a quality scorer but the Kings have their scoring options slashed with the absence of Sabonis, this is why Trey Lyles at big Forward will need to be more assertive to find more balance for the Kings. In terms of the bench, while Kings can deploy the guard duo of DiVincenzo and Mitchell, the Nuggets have been doing well with the makeshift bench. Overall, having Jokic definitely give the Nuggets an edge and I can’t stress enough how not having Sabonis is going to hurt the Kings.
