TEST SERIES SQAUD DECLARED, NO PLACE FOR ROHIT AND SAHA
BCCI announced their squad for their upcoming 5-match Test series against England on Wednesday, in which opening batsman Rohit Sharma, and the wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha got no place. While Saha was not included due to his thumb injury, Sharma was left out due to his irregular performances in this format.
Contemplating on the injury, Saha’s representatives took to Twitter to thank all the fans for their prayers and good wishes.
The comment further said,“Injury is not in anyone’s hand… and to the people who are having astrological conclusions right now regarding his future cricket… would suggest, learn to wish someone’s recovery than predicting the future! Please have some respect for someone who has got injured playing for the country.”
Even Rohit Sharma tweeted to show his good hope despite being excluded from the squad. He tweeted,“Sun will rise again tomorrow”
KARTHIK TO REPLACE SAHA AS WICKETKEEPER
In Saha’s absence, Dinesh Karthik has been named as the first-choice wicketkeeper for India, while Rishabh Pant also received his maiden Test call in the series as the second-wicket keeper option.
SHAMI GOT A PLACE
Pacer Mohammad Shami, who was dropped from the one-off game against Afghanistan after failing the Yo-Yo test, has regained full fitness and has made his way back for the five-match series.
The team includes the experienced pair of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and left-arm orthodox Ravindra Jadeja as their slow bowlers in recent Test matches.

TEST SERIES BEGINS FROM AUGUST 1
India will play the first match on August 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham, which will be followed by the second one at Lord’s on August 9. The action will resume for the third Test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on August 18, after which the squad will be announced for the remaining two games.
