The entire Afghanistan cricket team has been performing very well since their maiden ODI against Scotland in 2009 under the leadership of Nawroz Mangal.

Also, in March this year, they qualified for next year’s World Cup in England and Wales. They were also the winning team in the qualifiers in Zimbabwe by beating the West Indies in the final at Harare Sports Club.

Over the years, the Afghanistan team has given very talented players to the world. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi are to name a few. Both have performed unexpectedly always and a number of match-winning performances are to their name. The previous year, the duo was taken by the Sunrisers Hyderabad to play in the cash-rich IPL. As a result, they became the first players from the nation to take part in the championship.
