Joe Root had announced a battle with his mic drop celebration in the third ODI at Leeds when he had dropped the bat after England won the third ODI against India.
It sparked off a controversy and the cricket fanatics began to wonder how India will respond to it?
Indian skipper Virat Kohli added a dash of drama to the proceedings on the opening day of the first day of the Test between England and India, on Wednesday by mocking Root’s mic drop celebration.
Kohli removed Joe Root for 80 with a smart pick up and threw from the leg-side when Bairstow and Root attempted a second run.

While Kohli style of send-off also included some swearing but ICC might not be able to hand down a disciplinary charge given his distance from the stump microphone and officials.

Root became the quickest English batsman to score 6000 runs, and he was steadily heading towards making a century before Kohli ran out Root in the 63rd over of the innings.
In a thrilling display of emotions, Kohli blew a kiss at Root and Bairstow after he succeeded in breaking the 104-run stand. He then went to mimic Root’s mic drop celebration.
Root’s dismissal changed the momentum of the innings with England closing at 285 for nine on the opening day of the first Test match in Birmingham.
Ben Stokes, Adil Rashid and Stuart Broad also fell cheaply as they left Sam Curran (24*) at stumps with Anderson (0).
England’s Keaton Jennings spoke about the incident and said, “Everybody is free to celebrate the way they want to. That was his style of celebration, and it is totally fine.”
England have confirmed the availability of Ben Stokes for the second Test at Lord’s which will begin next Thursday if his trial for affray in Bristol gets adjourned on its first or second day.
The England all-rounder who has pleaded not guilty of the charge, is due to miss the match.
