Craig Overton Brother

Craig’s twin brother Jamie Overton is also a professional cricketer. He is also a fast bowler and a decent lower order batsman like his brother. Both brothers play their county cricket for Somerset and have done well over the years.

Craig Overton made his first-class debut in 2012 but a stress fracture in 2013 forced him out of action. He was the leading wicket-taker for Somerset in 2015 County Championship with 47 wickets to his name. In the 2016 season, he scored over 400 runs and took 34 wickets in a single season of County Championship. Overton’s best season came in 2017. He picked up 46 wickets at an average of 22.39 despite Somerset having a forgettable campaign.

Craig Overton’s tall height and ability to swing the ball made him a wicket-taker in the county circuit. His consistent all-round performances earned him a Test debut in 2017-18 Ashes series in Adelaide. Overton claimed Steve Smith as his first Test wicket. With the help of his consistent performances for his county and England Lions, Overton earned himself a place in the England ODI team for Pakistan series.
