Mitchell Guy Johnson was born on 2 November 1981. He is a former Australian cricketer who made his Test debut for Australia in November 2007 against Sri Lanka. He is considered as one of the best pacers Australia has ever produced. He won ICC’s Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy in 2009. His career suffered a blow in 2013 when he was dropped from the national squad because of his poor form in 2013, but he made a strong comeback the following year in 2013-14 Ashes series in Australia when the ripped apart the English batting line-up.

In November 2015, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after representing Australia in 256 matches.
