Nat Sciver is an English cricketer who was born in Tokyo. Before moving to England she also lived in Poland and the Netherlands. Her role in England women’s cricket team is as an all-rounder who can do a right-hand batting as well as right-arm medium bowling. She made her Test debut against Australia at Perth in the 2013/14 Ashes series, scoring a total of 72 runs and taking one wicket.

When she was a teenager she used to play cricket at school, she has played for Surrey club side Stoke d’Abernon. While studying in Epsom College she played cricket for 1st XI for two seasons. After her time in Surrey’s Academy where she played for Surrey county team and extended her performance to England’s Women’s Academy. After some outstanding performance, in 2013 Natalie was selected for limited-overs series against Pakistan where she made debut for Englan.

Sciver made her international test debut in 2014 Ashes series against Australia, scoring a total of 72 runs and taking one wicket. In April 2015, she was named as one of the England women’s Academy squad tour to Dubai, where England women played against their Australian counterparts in two 50-over games and two Twenty20 matches.

In October 2018, she was called for the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies. She was named as the standout player in the team by the ICC for this series.

Sciver completed her 1,000th WT20I runs in cricket in the year 2019 while playing a T20I series against Sri Lanka.

In 2018, she became one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year for her role in the World Cup victory.

She claimed her Player of the match in her just 2nd ODI match.

In October 2013 during a match against New Zealand, she became the first-ever English cricketer (man or woman) to take a T20I hat-trick.

Some of you would be very surprised to know that Sciver’s first choice was not cricket. Before moving to England she used to live in Poland, where she played football and then her short duration in the Netherlands sparked her interest in basketball.

Natalie Sciver’s mother was an employee in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and she was based in Japan at the time of her birth.

She has done her education in sports and exercises science from Loughborough University.
