Saroj Kohli is the mother of ace batsman Virat Kohli. Virat has been deeply influenced by his parents and has always spoken about their sacrifices. Virat’s mother, Saroj was a formidable housemaker who used to manage the household along with her three children.

Virat Kohli wrote a sweet message to his mother on the occasion of “mothers day” calling her a “very strong and determined woman”. Today he has made her proud with all his cricketing achievements and she was there by his side when he won Khel Ratna and Padmashri Award. Saroj Kohli was married to Premnath Kohli who was a criminal lawyer by profession. She gave birth to Virat on 5th Nov 1988 in Delhi. She has 3 children, 2 sons (Vikash Kohli & Virat Kohli) and a daughter (Bhavna Kohli). All her three children are married, while Vikash is married to Chetna Kohli & Bhavna is married to Sanjay Dhingra, Virat tied his knot with Anushka Sharma in 2017.

Saroj and Premnath managed their finances but ensured that their children had all the comforts. Saroj and Prem always encouraged Virat to play cricket during his childhood, his father used to carry him on this scooter to the cricket academy everyday and he also used to bowl him during his batting practice at home.
