Anamul Haque a product of the famous Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) academy has donned the colours of Bangladesh since 2012. An explosive wicketkeeper batter, Anamul Haque has been constant present in the domestic circuit since the age of 15.

Having proved himself at the domestic level and impressed with the gloves, Anamul has represented Bangladesh at every age group. He was part of the U-17 and U-19 set-up before he made his name on the international level. Training in the shadows of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, he has inherited a reputation as back-up to for the latter.

Career

Before he broke out fore the national team he became the first player to score 1000 runs and most runs in a single List-A tournament. At U-19 level he captained the Bangladesh side in 2012 and was the highest run scorer that earned him plenty of applauds. In total he scored 365 runs in six matches, including two hundreds and a fifty.

Anamul first exploded on the international stage in November 2012, when he made his ODI debut against West Indies. In his debut match he put together an opening wicket stand of 88 runs with Tamim Iqbal and scored 41 runs himself.

Just days later he made his T20 debut against the same opposition and ended on the losing side. he scored 22 runs during the run chase. Just months later he was drafted into the Test side, becoming 66th player to represent the national side in the red-ball format. His first taste of Test cricket saw him Bangladesh earn a creditable draw against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Anamul Haque is married to Fariya Era after they dated for almost 10 years. The wedding ceremony took place in June 2018 as they brought an end to the speculation surrounding their wedding. A year later they held the reception with big names invited. The couple was blessed with a baby girl during the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020.
