Andrew Flintoff born on 6th December 1977 is a retired English Cricketer who has tried his hand in pro-boxing as well. His career span was of 10 years in which he played all the three formats of the game. He was a terrific fast bowler who can clock in the mid 140’s quite easily, a sublime fielder and a hard-hitting lower order batsman who can win games single-handedly. His represented England in 79 Tests, 141 ODIs and 7 T20 Internationals in a span of 10 years. Controversies

  • During the Cricket World Cup 2007, he landed himself into trouble when he got drunk with some of his teammates and nearly drowned the boat carrying them capsized. After the incident, he claimed that he was attempting to sail home in a paddle boat. He awoke on a beach after that and admitted that it was the worst place he had ever slept. After this incident, he lost his vice-captaincy and was fined by the ECB, but he still retained his place in the English side.
