Devon Conway is one of the mainstay of New Zealand batting, known for consistency.

He made his Test debut on 2 June 2021 in the recently completed series between New Zealand and host nation England. Opening the innings with Tom Latham, he scored a double century at Lord’s, thus becoming the second Kiwi and seventh player overall to strike a double ton on debut. New Zealand won the two-test series by a 1-0 margin and Conway was adjudged Player of the Series.

Conway made his international debut in November 2020 in a T20 international vs West Indies. His ODI debut came in March 2021 against Bangladesh and he scored his first ODI century in just his 3rd game.

Devon  Conway was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is the second South Africa-born cricketer to play for New Zealand.

Conway has been really consistent so far in all formats and is breaking records by the minute. He is amongst a select group of cricketers who have scored 300 runs or more in the first 3 innings in Test Matches. It might be too early to say so, but in the two Tests he has played so far in challenging English conditions, Conway has proved he belongs at the highest level of the game. The left-hand batsman can also keep wickets.

Conway is yet to play in the IPL. He went unsold at the 2021 IPL auction. Conway has played domestic first-class cricket in South Africa and New Zealand. He has played 14 T20 internationals so far and has a fantastic average of 59.12. His coach Glenn Pocknall mentioned that it would be great to watch him open alongside hitman Rohit Sharma for the Mumbai Indians.
