Jayant Yadav is an Indian off-spinner who is a handy lower order batsman. Yadav got a national call up after consistent shows in the domestic circuit. In the four Test he played, Yadav did decent job in the role of a third spinner and exceeded the expectations with the bat scoring a ton besides one fifty plus score. However, with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja bowling tremendously in home Tests, Yadav could not get much opportunities thereafter.
