Jhulan Goswami is an all-round cricketer and former captain of India national women’s cricket team. Her interest in cricket rose when she watched the 1992 Cricket World Cup on television. She was fond of football before cricket. She volunteered for the ball-girl in the final game of the 1997 Women’s World Cup. Goswami was fascinated by such legendary cricketers on the ground, and one day she made up her mind to be a cricketer. After Cathryn Fitzpatrick, Jhulan became the fastest woman bowler in the world. She’s got her wrists to bowl at about 120kph.
Jhulan also served as a bowling advisor for the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team.
