Matt Parkinson is a leg-spinner from Bolton, who has made his debut in the international cricket for England national side last year in November. He has an unusual style of bowling, and unlike most of the modern wrist-spinner, Matt bowls slowly and tosses the ball up above the eye line, relying on the natural turn without using much of pace to take wickets.

Matt Parkinson on his debut match against Warwickshire became the youngest Lancashire player to take five-wicket haul where he claimed 5 for 49. However, it was the white ball cricket which took earned him prominence in the game and where he actually made growth. After he was recognized by England Lions he became the leading spinner in both limited-overs tournaments in 2018.
Finally, after recovering from a stress fracture in his lower back, he helped Lancashire to move through Quarterfinals in the Championship trophy where bagged 21 wickets. Al his efforts and performances finally brought him to England’s T20I and ODI team.
