Sri Lanka’s rising star Pathum Nissanka has been in talks ever since he made his debut for his nation. Hailing from Galle the right-handed batter was born on 18th May 1998. Nissanka made his domestic debut in the year 2016-17 and since then he has only risen in ranks. The opening batter then came into the national side in March 2019. He was also named in the Test squad as well. It didn’t take him long to assert his authority at the international stage as he became the fourth batsman for Sri Lanka score century on debut. Nissanka’s performance awarded him a place in the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, where he scored 221 runs and was the seventh-highest run-scorer in the tournament.

Pathum Nissanka Teams

Pathum Nissanka made his debut for Sri Lanka in March 2019 and represents the nation in all three formats of the game. Apart from playing for the country, he played for Badureliya Sports Club in SLC TwentyT20 tournament. He also played for Nondescripts Cricket Club in the domestic tournament and will also play for Colombo Stars in the Lanka Premier League 2021. The right-handed batter also represented the country in the U-19 World Cup and also feature in Sri Lanka Board President’s XI.
