Pratham Singh made his List A debut in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016-17, which was followed by his First Class debut in Ranji Trophy 2016-17.

With regular performances in both List A and First Class formats, Pratham hit the jackpot with his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20, where he has enjoyed considerable success to date.

Though a technically sound player, Pratham’s forte lies in the limited-overs more than the First Class cricket. In his maiden edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2019-20, Pratham finished heads and shoulders above his teammates, as he went on to amass 438 runs in 10 matches while maintaining an average and strike rate of 54.75 and 136.02 respectively. Not to mention, he struck 4 fifties during the tournament and helped Railways finish at the top spot in the Group C League Stage, even above domestic giants – Mumbai.

Then, the southpaw enjoyed a terrific form during Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21, as he scored the most runs for Railways (299) and averaged 74.75 while striking in excess of 87, which comprised a hundred and two fifties. Though Pratham couldn’t emulate the heroics in the 2021-22 edition of the tournament, his past performances had already stitched him a spot in the minds of his future owners in the IPL 2022 auction.

Pratham was a part of the Gujarat Lions in the IPL 2017, but he didn’t get a chance to debut under Suresh Raina & Co. However, the Delhi-born cricketer didn’t lose sight of his goal and over the next few years, he struck a string of consistent performances, which eventually got him a contract in the IPL 2022 auction by the Kolkata Knight Riders at his base price of 20 lakhs.
