Richa Ghosh hogged limelight scoring the fastest fifty in ODI by an Indian woman player against New Zealand. It came off just in 26 balls at tough ground of Queenstown.

Born on 28 September 2003, Richa Ghosh hails from a middle-class family background in Siliguri. While growing up, she always had a passion for playing cricket. Her primary interest was batting. However, with time she gained interest in wicketkeeping.
Richa began playing sports when she was six years old and was accompanied her father to the Baghajatin Athletic Club in Siliguri for everyday practice. Her father influenced her for aggressive style of batting. Her father ceased his family business in 2016 and began managing Richa’s training full time. Richa Ghosh’s father has been honest and dedicated to her child’s dream. In an interview, he claimed that he had to give whatever time he had to Richa.
She was chosen for the Bengal U-19 team at the age of 11. Later, she started practicing with the boys at her academy due to fewer female admission at her hometown.
Richa featured in women’s squad for the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup. Richa’s talent was recognized when she was awarded an official central contract in 2021. Richa has played for Hobart Hurricanes in the 2021-22 Women’s Big Bash.
Ghosh is a private person and has never spoke about her relationship status. It is unknown as of now whom she’s dating or is interested in. She often posts’ picture of her family and friends on her official Instagram handle.
