Sabbhineni Meghana is a top-order batter and one of the standby players named in India’s World Cup 2022 squad. She was born on June 7, 1996 at Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. In 2008, she was selected for the U 19 team and then gradually played for the State side.

In Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021, Meghana was the top run-getter with 388 runs in 6 matches and helped the Railways team to clinch the title. The legendary cricketer Mithali Raj was the skipper of the Railways team. In Women’s Senior Challengers One Day Trophy 2021, she again contributed the most, with 207 runs in 4 fixtures. These performances earned her a national call-up of the second time and will expect to be a regular member for the national side.
From 2008 to 2016, Sabbhineni Meghana played for the U 16, U19, U-23 and Senior teams of the Andhra Pradesh State team.
