Sabbhineni Meghana is a top-order batter and one of the standby players named in India’s World Cup 2022 squad. She was born on June 7, 1996 at Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. In 2008, she was selected for the U 19 team and then gradually played for the State side.

After performing well in the U-23 tournaments, she was chosen to be part of the senior Zonal Cricket Academy camp. Being the second-highest run-scorer, Meghana earned a national call and made her international debut against West Indies in November 2016.
