The left-arm pacer was roped in as a replacement for injured Saurabh Dubey by the Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 4 for the remainder of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He joined the team at the price of INR 20 Lakh.

Professional Cricket Career

Sushant made his first-class debut for Jharkhand against Chhattisgarh at Guwahati on February 17, 2022 in the Ranji Trophy. Earlier, his List A debut came against Delhi at Mohali on December 8, 2021 in the 2021-22 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Prior to his List A debut, Sushant was also named in India’s U-19 World Cup Squad for the 2020 edition.

Most recently, he was added to Sunrisers Hyderabad as a replacement for Saurabh Dubey for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. Although, he his yet to make his debut in the cash-rich league.
