One of the fans favourite and most famous doppelgänger of Indian skipper Virat Kohli is Pakistan’s opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad. Over the years, many cricket lovers have called him Virat Kohli of the Babar Azam-led side as the right-handed batsman has similar looks to as that of the Indian captain.

However, his inability to score runs consistently is the main reason that he has not been a regular feature in the national set-up. The right-handed batsman has played 13 Test matches, 81 ODI matches and 59 T20Is for his country.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been one of the greatest batsmen the cricketing World has ever witnessed. The right-handed batsman averages over 50 in all formats of the game and is the fastest cricketer to reach 30 and 35 centuries in ODIs. The 32-year-old also became the fastest player to reach 15000 runs at an average of over 50. Apart from this, he was also the fastest to 9000, 10000, 11000, and 12000 runs in ODIs.

Even though he hasn’t won any ICC trophy as a captain but, the lynchpin of the Indian batting line-up has numerous records to name as he has the most Test victories away from home as an Indian skipper to his name with 14 wins out of the 33 Tests and is yet to lose a home Test series. The 32-year-old in 2018 also became the first Indian captain to win a Test series in Australia.

The Indian batsman has achieved so many things at a young age. At 32, the right-handed batsman has won Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and the Padma Shri award. He was also named ICC Cricketer of the Year in 2017 and 2018. If this was not enough he was also named as the ICC’s Men cricketer of the decade (2010-2020).

Virat Kohli has also been the owner of the Polly Umrigar Award for International Cricketer of the Year 2011–12, 2014–15, 2015–16, 2016–17, 2017–18.
