Will Young hails from New Plymouth, New Zealand. He then had to wait long for his turn as he injured himself and then came back into the side in 2020 and finally made his debut for the country in Test cricket against West Indies. In March 2021, Young made his debut for the nation in ODIs and T20Is against Bangladesh and then was named in the Test squad for the India series where he registered his highest score of 89 on Indian soil.
