ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule Announced. Check Complete Time Table, Match List, Venues

T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule: The ICC T20 World Cup is just around the corner and has now been scheduled. The four-week event will be hosted by Oman and UAE. ICC has also announced a timetable for all of us cricket lovers to stay on top of what’s happening in this fast-paced game! Check out the complete schedule below.

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule: Check Details

Round 1

Group A: Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and Namibia

Group B: Oman, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, and Bangladesh

Hosts Oman kicks things off against Papua New Guinea on 17th October at 2 pm local time. Scotland and Bangladesh will face off at 6 pm in an evening encounter. The next day, Group A will be in play in Abu Dhabi. Round 1 matchups last until October 22. The top two teams from each group will advance to the tournament’s Super12 stage, which begins on October 23.

Super 12 Stages

Group 1: Australia, South Africa, England, West Indies, A1, B2

Group 1 definitely is the group of death. England is by far the most feared white-ball cricket side while West Indies players are the kings of T20s. Australia and South Africa would also be looking to put their name on the elusive trophy. It is most likely that Sri Lanka would join this group and make it even more challenging.

Group 2: India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, B1, A2

Group 2 boasts of arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The two sides last met in World Cup 2019. It will be interesting to see if the Men in Blue can maintain their 100% record vs Pakistan in the World Cups. New Zealand always outperforms their expectations it will be naive to rule out the Afghanis who have some serious T20 cricketers in their ranks. The group stages will culminate on 8 November.

The Tournament finale takes place in Dubai at 6 p.m. local time on Sunday, November 14th, with Monday serving as a backup date. There is a reserve date for the semi-finals as well.
