Who is Maya Sonawane? In the match against Supernovas, one bowler who caught everyone’s attention was Velocity’s Maya Sonawane. She had an unorthodox action similar to that of South African great Paul Adams. She bowled 2 overs for 19 runs in the last match. She had also put up an impressive show at the senior women’s T20 competition where she represented Maharashtra. She took 11 wickets from eight matches in that tournament with an economy of just over six.

In a surprising move Velocity, paired up Shafali with Thailand’s Natthakan Chantham at top of the order. Even though Chantham failed to deliver in the first match, they are not expected to make any changes to their winning combination.
