SL vs IRE Dream11 Prediction: The T20 World Cup is around the corner as the teams in the Qualifier play their last Warm Up game. Sri Lanka and Ireland would be eager to take the field and make the most of the opportunity. Sri Lanka have had a brilliant start Down Under and have continued their good form after defeating Zimbabwe by 33 runs in their opening Warm Up game. In contrast to this, Ireland did not have the best of starts to their Warm Up game. They lost a close fought game to Namibia by 11 runs.

So far, two Warm Up games have been played at the MCG.
Zimbabwe (155/5 in 20 overs) lost to Sri Lanka (188/5 in 20 overs) by 33 runs on 11 October, 2022.
Ireland(127 in 19.5 Overs) lost to Namibia (138/4 in 20 Overs) by 11 runs on 11 October,2022.
If we go by the recent Warm Up games is expected to be a touch slower than usual. Apart from pace and bounce, the slower bowlers have also turned out to be a bit handy so far. Thus, it will be interesting to see if the pitch behaves like a typical Aussie wicket offering some genuine pace and bounce or offers some assistance to the spinners as well. The par score is expected to be around 150-160.

The Asian Champions have been on song since the Asia Cup. Their preparation for the World Cup began against Zimbabwe and they made sure to show that Asia Cup win was no fluke. Kusal Mendis scored a quick fire 54 off just 29 balls and was joined by the versatile Wanindu Hassaranga, who scored 37 off just 14 balls and helped the Asian Champions to a mammoth 188/5 in their 20 overs. The bowlers did a decent job to restrict Zimbabwe to a total of 155.
Wanindu Hasaranga has been known for his leg spin and has been pivotal in getting Sri Lanka to major wins. He had a big role in winning the Asia Cup for Sri Lanka, where he took 9 wickets, only 2 wickets behind the leading wicket taker, Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Hasaranga can also make some handy contributions with the bat.
The Sri Lankan wicket keeper batter has been responsible to get his team off to a good start. His fearless batting approach also gives some liberty to his opening partner, Nissanka to take his time and hold the innings together.
The Irish bowlers did a great job to restrict the Namibians to a score of 138/4 in their quota of 20 overs but their batters failed to click. Apart from Stirling and Tucker no other batter stood out. Most of their batters scored in single digits. Ireland would look to focus on their combinations and get some more game time right before the Qualifiers.

Paul Stirling with his numbers and experience is an Irish legend for sure. His numbers signify how big a player he is in this format of the game. 3000 runs in the format with a strike rate of about 135 does talk a lot about the ability of the player.
Gareth Delany is a young Irish all rounder. He is known for his leg spin bowling and can also contribute with the bat as and when required. His spin bowling can add some variety to the Irish attack and cause some problems for the opposition.
