The Women’s Big Bash League is set to kick off on Thursday (October 13). Brisbane Heat Women will lock horns with Sydney Sixers Women at Mackay. It’s the eighth edition of the tournament, where eight teams will participate and 59 matches will be played in a round-robin format, followed by knockout finals.
Heat, led by Jess Jonassen, are one of the three most successful teams in the tournament; They have won two titles so far.
On the other hand, Sixers are searching for their maiden Women’s Big Bash League title. Led by the Aussie veteran Ellyse Perry, Sixers possess a strong lineup.
The game will commence at 2:10 PM (IST).
