Deepak Chahar injury: In a crucial news development, India’s right-arm seamer Deepak Chahar has unfortunately been ruled out of the final ODI match against Bangladesh scheduled to be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. India suffered yet another poor 5-run defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the recently concluded 2nd ODI encounter and also ended up losing the three-match ODI series. The Men in Blue will now be eyeing to end this ODI campaign with a consolation victory in this third and final match.

After having bowled just three overs in the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh, Deepak Chahar was seen in the dugout and later it was understood that the Indian pace bowler had sustained a left hamstring strain. Chahar did not return to complete his quota of overs during the first innings but came out to bat in the chase and scored a struggling 11 runs off 18 balls. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already official confirmed that the pacer will not be available for selection in the third ODI against Bangladesh due to the hamstring strain. Incidentally, Deepak has not played much of cricket in this calendar year as he has been mostly on the sidelines due to injury issues.
