Delhi Capitals (DC) Playing 11: The Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction got over in Mumbai on February 13. A total of 87 players underwent the hammer, out of which 30 players were overseas. The five teams namely, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, and UP Warriorz bought their future stars.

Speaking about the Delhi Capitals (DC), particularly, they were the only team to buy a player from an associate nation. The side bought the USA bowler Tara Norris for the base price of INR 10 lakh. They are now eligible to field five overseas players, but one of them will have to be Morris.

Moreover, the Delhi-based franchise’s most expensive overseas signing was Marizanne Kapp, the South African pace bowling all-rounder. While their most expensive Indian signing is Jemimah Rodrigues, for INR 2.20 crore.
