LAL vs MEM DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Los Angeles Lakers will be aiming to extend their winning streak when they host a struggling Memphis Grizzlies team in an NBA match at Staples Center, in Los Angeles, on Tuesday morning (IST).

Los Angeles Lakers:
LeBron James showed why he is one of the best NBA players of all-time in the last game against New Orleans Pelicans. He doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody at this stage of his career. But for young players like Anthony Davis, he remains a role model and a perch where every aspiring and a talented player wants to reach at some point in their career.

The four-time NBA MVP was everywhere on the court. He may not have dropped big or jaw-dropping numbers, just like Davis did for Pelicans in this game, but there are some traits which only he can boast about. The former Cleveland Cavaliers star was clever with his passing, his positioning created spaces for his players with Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram benefitting the most. Lakers won the match 112-104, more comfortable than the 8-point winning margin suggests.

James ended up with yet another triple-double of his career, scoring 22 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds in the match. While Davis had a monster game, again, as he dropped a game-high 30-points and an alien looking 20 rebounds in the match.

But the result highlighted the change in fortunes of these franchises. To be true, Lakers have in their blood, the history and the profile of players they had in the past only make this franchise one of the most decorated one in NBA.

Memphis Grizzlies:
As for the Memphis Grizzlies, they are on a five-game losing streak coming into this match. They were on a three-game road trip, starting from the Oakland against Golden State Warriors, and then headed to Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings in the last match which they lost 102-99.

It was a game of heartbreaks, and brain fade moments for Memphis. They led the match for most of the game and were in front by a massive 19 points in the 2nd quarter. It was looking good for Memphis and a certainty that they may snap their losing streak.

However, sports is a level playing ground. There is no room for complacency and that’s what happened as Sacramento clawed their way back into the game in the fourth quarter despite trailing by a massive 12 points.

Still, the recent defeats don’t tell the full story of the team which has gone a few notches above this season. Grizzlies are 10th in the Western Conference and possess a 50% winning percentage this season. While last season, they finished 2nd bottom in the table.

Regular Season Record-
Los Angeles Lakers: W-19, L-13
Memphis Grizzlies: W-16, L-16

Players to watch out for:
Los Angeles Lakers:

Lebron James – The four-time NBA MVP has made Los Angeles Lakers from an outside playoff contender to a genuine powerhouse in a matter of few months. The former Cleveland Cavaliers star is dropping 28.0 points per game this season. As usual, there have been some gigantic games, and for the normality, you can always expect him to lead the points charts in a game.

Kyle Kuzma – In red-hot form at the moment. In the last 10 games or so, he is averaging 22.0 points per game and this is the reason why his regular season average has gone above by few notches. He can be a shrewd addition in your NBA fantasy teams.

Memphis Grizzlies:
Mike Conley Jr. – For Memphis Grizzlies, he is the only player to average in the 20s this season. The 31-year-old is in good form of late, scoring in the 20s in the last four games, including the 23 he dropped against Sacramento Kings.
Marc Gasol – The Spanish legend is still going strong these days, averaging the 2nd most points for his team this season. The 33-year-old has also played the most matches for Grizzlies this season, making him an indispensable part of the squad.
