The Women’s world T20 is all set to unfold in the Windies and the stunning success of the 50-over world cup makes everyone believe that that this event would surely enhance the development of women cricket.

And for the tournament to be a roaring success, plenty of brilliant performances need to be produced. A stunning bowling spell, an outstanding fielding effort or a momentum-shifting knock, the event needs something blockbuster happening. And these are the five players who are the front-runners for delivering such performances.

5. Chamari Atapattu (Sri Lanka)-

Sri Lanka might find it difficult to make an impact in this global league but their front-line player Chamari Atapattu is more than capable of conceiving some upsets. She is bold with her approach, has a tremendous temperament that enables her to carry the innings and importantly can smash any bowler with disdain.

A glimpse of her talent was seen when she scored 178* against Australia in England. Watch out for her as she may produce yet another stunning knock.

4.Deandra Dottin (Windies)-

If you love fast hundreds and pin-point yorkers watch out for Dottin. Her 38-ball hundred was a record in both men and women T20 cricket for some time but that’s not the only thing she is known for.

Comet the death overs and she turns into a yorker machine. She got three wickets in the warm-up game and can cause more damage in the matches ahead.

3. Harmanpreet Kaur (India)-

The woman who changed women’s cricket, Harmanpreet Kaur’s assault against Australia in semi-finals in England will remain one of the top performances in both men and women cricket for a long time. It was nothing less than Kapil’s 175 or Dhoni’s 93 and in terms of impact, it was miles ahead.

Kaur is surely the player to watch out for in this tournament.

2. Ellyse Perry ( Australia)-

The all-rounder will be key to Australia’s success in this tournament. She is mighty with the bat and more than effective with the ball. On her day, such is her carnage that she can single-handedly steer the team home and in this world cup Australia will be hoping she comes good.

1.  Stafanie Taylor (Windies)-

With an experience of 88 T20Is, this star performer will hold the keys for Windies’ success in this tournament. She has the experience, the aura, and the skills to destroy any bowling and batting unit and she has done it frequently in the past. She averages 36 with the bat and strikes every 17 balls in T20Is.

Taylor for sure is the player to watch out for in this ICC event.
