India and Australia are two of the strongest sides in the tournament, and one can expect the match to be a close affair. Both sides will look to determine their best playing elevens, and the correct combination.
Rohit Sharma is expected to open the batting alongside KL Rahul or Ishan Kishan on Wednesday. The right hander is one of the most explosive batsman in world cricket at the moment, and can bat the opposition out of the game if he gets going.
David Warner had a poor IPL season this time around, and is really struggling to get some runs under his belt. However, the left-hander has plenty of experience and quality to deal with the situation. Warner is just one knock away from hitting his top form.
Ravindra Jadeja did not feature in action against England, and will play a part in the second game against Australia. The all-rounder will bowl his full quota of four overs, and bat in the lower middle order if he does get his chance.
The pitch at Dubai witnessed a high scoring affair last time around, as India and England clashed in a high scoring battle. The pitch is expected to remain the same, so we can expect to witness another batsman friendly wicket. The ball comes onto the bat very nicely, as the wicket is a nightmare for the spinners.
If IND bats first: 180-190
If AUS bats first: 160-170
The temperature in Dubai is expected to exceed 30 degree Celsius for the majority of the match. Towards the second innings, there will be a lot of dew. English bowlers struggled to bowl in the death overs because of the excessive dew on the ground. The weather is expected to start cooling down as the match progresses, however, there is no prediction of any rainfall.
