2022 IPL teams: Captain, Coaches, Sponspor, Jersey Details

2022 IPL teams – IPL enters it’s 15th year with the addition of two new teams this season. The league will be completely held at India this time around after being moved to UAE in the last couple of seasons due to COVID. The tournament will feature a total of 74 games and will run from March 26 till 29 May.

2022 IPL Teams

Now let’s take a look at the ten teams that are going to feature this season.

1. Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions have retained most of their players from last season and would look to successfully defend the title.

2. Mumbai Indians

The five time IPL champions has invested a lot on the future with some exciting and as a result had to settle for a squad with some glaring issues.

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Bangalore based franchise will once again begin their quest for their first ever IPL title this season under a new captain in Faf du Plessis.

4. Kolkata Knight Riders

5. Delhi Capitals

6. Sunrisers Hyderabad

Tom Moody is back as the head coach and the squad looks fresh in the absence of Warner, Rashid and Bairstow. Williamson will look to lead the side to their second IPL title.

7. Punjab Kings

The Punjab Kings have built an explosive batting unit after the departure of KL Rahul and seem like genuine contenders for the IPL title this season under the new captain Mayank Agarwal.

8. Rajasthan Royals
