Rishabh Pant, India vs England

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant endured yet another dismal outing in the ongoing Test series against England as he registered his second single-digit score in the Leeds Test.

However, even though he stayed at the crease for just nine deliveries, the charismatic Indian cricketer managed to do something that sent social media in a frenzy.

Rishabh Pant flop show continues in the England Test series

Unfortunately for Rishabh Pant and Team India, he couldn’t replicate the strokes that he was practising at the non-striker end as the southpaw once again fell prey to Ollie Robinson shortly after the incident.

Ollie Robinson, who was easily the pick of the bowlers for England in the 2nd innings, has had a lid over Pant in the entire series thus far. The tall pacer has dismissed Rishabh Pant on 4 instances in five innings and the pattern of dismissals have more or less been the same each time.

Robinson has troubled Pant with the ball that cuts across the left-hander. Such is the angle that Pant is forced to play and in doing that he either nicks it to the keeper Jos Buttler or like in the 2nd innings of the Leeds Test, to the slip cordon. Pant’s dismissal was the final nail in the coffin for Team India as it left Ravindra Jadeja stranded with four genuine No.11s.

It was never going to last long, and it didn’t as Moeen Ali and Craig Overton finished off the proceedings to hand England a comprehensive win by an innings and 76 runs.
