The Pakistan Super League started on February 20 and has been in news for the on-field as well as off-field controversies. First, Mohammad Hafeez took a dig at Sarfaraz Ahmed by tweeting the pic of Mohammad Rizwan after his century against South Africa and complimenting that he is the no.1 wicket-keeper batsman in all the formats for the Pakistan team. Then, Dale Steyn has recently made a remark that the PSL is more rewarding than IPL. He said here more emphasis is given on the player’s performance rather than the money they receive for playing in the league.
The wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed has been in good form for the Islamabad United in the PSL 2021. In 3 matches, he has scored 128 runs and in today’s match, he has scored a half-century against Quetta Gladiators. During the course of the match, he slammed Ifthikhar Ahmed for four sixes in an over which helped the team to get back on track after a bad start.

The Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars have won 3 out of the 4 matches till now in the PSL 2021. The presence of Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali has given Zalmi good stability in the middle-order. Whereas, Imam Ul Haq and Kamran Akmal can be clinical when in full form. The Experienced bowlers like Riaz and Saqib were impressive for the team in the last game picking bulk of the wickets.
For Lahore Qalandars, the ace-bowler Shaheen Afridi has been executing his plans very well and is on course to be the leading wicket-taker in the league. While the team has Sohail Akhtar and Hafeez who can be devastating due to their experience and track -record. The all-rounders Wiese and Samit Patel have proved to be a valuable addition to the squad due to their consistent performances.
